Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Sushi Clerk for the Hy-Chi department to fill customer orders, prep fresh sushi items, and maintain a clean, compliant workspace. The role emphasizes food safety, freshness, and friendly service to enhance the customer experience.

You will greet customers, assist with product searches, monitor stock levels, and help with special projects while upholding Hy-Vee's dress code and policies. Training provided; pre-employment drug screen required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Six months or more of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders at counter and over the phone, assisting with product searches and loading heavy purchases.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels throughout your shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product, pulling items from the cooler or freezer as needed.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
