The position involves menu development, trend exploration, maintaining health compliance, and collaboration with the meat department to ensure a clean and efficient workspace. Candidates must meet age and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Sushi preparation and handling of seafood products.
• Adherence to health and safety codes and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle payments.
• Strong communication with team members and other departments.
• Basic merchandising and stocking responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Production, ordering and receiving, merchandising, inventory control, sanitation, and safety within the sushi department.
• Daily preparation work: filleting fish and preparing sushi for cases and orders while upholding quality standards.
• Assist with menu planning and new sushi trends and recipes.
• Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
• Maintain open communication with meat department and keep preparation area clean.
