Job summary

Hai Hospitality is seeking a Sushi Chef to join our multi-concept team including Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba, and Loro. You will learn and apply authentic Japanese cuisine while engaging guests at the sushi bar and contributing to the core menu.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
• Detect and identify safety issues, and comply with safety guidelines and standards.
• Lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs, stock inventory, and perform restocking duties.
• Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Acquaint yourself with our menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
• Learn and perfect your sushi techniques under the guidance of our skilled Chef teams.
• Understand proper handling and waste reduction of product
• Interact with guests at the sushi bar; take orders, explain dishes, and cultivate an amazing experience for yourself and the guest
• Learn our various sushi stations and progress as your knowledge and skills grows
• Collaborate with our teams to create dishes that will be showcased on our specials page and core menu
