Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. Lead food preparation, plating, and quality in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen near the mountains.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years’ sushi experience is required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or other formal training preferred.
• Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must have or obtain within introductory period a Food Handler’s Card certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients (meats, seafood, vegetables).
• Cook and plate dishes to perfection while maintaining quality.
• Follow recipes to ensure consistency and dietary accommodations.
• Manage inventory and maintain proper food storage.
