Job summary

Patriot Enterprises provides Army National Guard MFH and SOS support to families, coordinating with CAOs and survivors across the state. SOS Coordinators work to assist families from the loss of a service member, maintaining a resource directory and facilitating referrals with resilience programs and benefits.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and liaison skills, with the ability to travel and operate within regulatory guidance. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate dignified verbal and written communication in sensitive situations.
• Ability to locate and refer resources for families and survivors.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be available via telephone 24/7/365 to receive requests for assistance from constituents.
• Contact and/or meet Survivors in person or via various modalities during transition periods and milestones.
• Provide information on ARNG resilience programs and benefits to survivors and families.
• Act as liaison with civilian and military service providers and develop partnerships.
• Conduct referrals and follow-up to resolve outstanding issues for Survivors.
• Maintain and expand a resource directory with organization details and services.
• Coordinate with CAC Benefit Coordinator and ACS Support Coordinators for service delivery.
• Coordinate referrals for financial assistance from military, government, and civilian sources.
• Create SOS program slides for trainings and serve as central point of contact.
• Maintain contact with survivors by sending cards and invitations.
• Support shipping expense reimbursements and maintain a shipping log.
• Create journal entries documenting SOS cases in systems of record.
• Provide monthly workload reports to the GTM by the 10th of each month.
