Job summary

Voices Against Violence seeks a Program Advocate to provide direct support and advocacy to survivors, working within our shelter program and coordinating services with other systems alongside the advocacy team.

The role supports hotline, outreach, legal advocacy, family and general advocacy, contributing to a cohesive service network. Applicants must have a Bachelors in Human Services or related experience and be able to travel within the service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Service field or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a non-judgmental, positive manner.
• Willingness to travel within service area and work odd shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and advocacy services to survivors.
• Coordinate services with shelter program and other systems with advocacy team.
• Assist with hotline support, outreach, and legal advocacy as needed.
• Support family and general advocacy efforts within the program.
