Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA is seeking a dedicated advocate to provide trauma-informed direct service, including hotline counseling, safety planning, and referrals. The position requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to supervise volunteers while engaging in community outreach and advocacy for domestic violence victims.

Qualifications

• Experience in trauma-informed direct service delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and train volunteers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Familiarity with community resources.
• Proficient computer, Internet, and email skills.
• Translatable work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed direct service including hotline counseling.
• Coordinate safety planning, referrals, and advocacy for clients.
• Assist with service plans, intake, and transportation as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic counseling records and reports.
• Educate clients about legal options and accompany them to hearings.
• Supervise and train volunteers and build partnerships with community resources.
• Participate in outreach and fundraising activities.
• Maintain attendance and uphold confidentiality and security.
