Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Surveyor in Training to join our Survey team in Naples or Fort Myers, FL. The role involves boundary surveying, topographic mapping, stake outs for home building projects, and preparing legal descriptions and easements.

This hands-on position blends office work with field duties in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has a technical surveying background, SIT certification, and strong math and communication skills, with experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and field

Qualifications

Technical degree or certificate in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
Surveyor in Training (SIT) certification required/desired.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
2+ years of land surveying and CAD technician experience.

Responsibilities

Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce topographic and boundary surveys, subdivision plats, ALTA surveys, and related maps.
Review field survey results and verify data accuracy.
Communicate effectively with team and follow procedures to complete tasks.
Perform other duties of similar nature as assigned.
Prepare sketches, legal descriptions, easements, and route surveys.
