Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• Surveyor in Training (SIT) certification required/desired.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• 2+ years of land surveying and CAD technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce topographic and boundary surveys, subdivision plats, ALTA surveys, and related maps.
• Review field survey results and verify data accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with team and follow procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform other duties of similar nature as assigned.
• Prepare sketches, legal descriptions, easements, and route surveys.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Surveyor in Training to join our Survey team in Naples or Fort Myers, FL. Our team provides a full range of survey services including boundary surveying, home building and construction stake out surveys, subdivision plat preparation, condominium exhibit preparation, preparation of legal descriptions for easements and parcel boundaries, topographic mapping, construction layout, control surveys, route surveys, as-built surveys, lake cross section as-built surveys, volume calculations and more. Your Key Responsibilities

• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Standards to produce detailed topographic survey, boundary survey, subdivision plats, ALTA surveys, and other profession related maps and drawings.

• Understanding drawings and the ability to review and process the results of field surveys, and verifying the accuracy of field survey data.

• Communicates effectively with members of the team and follows standard procedures to complete assigned tasks.

• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

• The ability to prepare sketch and legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way maps, and route surveys.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Basic understanding of survey methods and calculations.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and Standards.

• Strong technical and communication skills with the ability to work independently.

• Demonstrates strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.

• Capable of reading / interpreting various types of construction and site plans.

• Working knowledge of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.

Education and Experience

• Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying preferred.

• Surveyor in Training (SIT) Certification

• Good driving record and valid Driver’s License.

• 2+ years of Land Surveying and CAD technician experience.

• Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
