Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Surveyor in Training to join our Survey team in Naples or Fort Myers, FL. The role focuses on boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, and legal descriptions, with opportunities to grow in a full-service geomatics environment.

The position emphasizes using AutoCAD Civil 3D, interpreting field survey data, and collaborating with team members. Office-based with some field work, supporting diverse project types in a dynamic engineering setting.

Qualifications

• Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• SIT Certification desired.
• 2+ years of Land Surveying and CAD technician experience.
• Reading/interpreting construction and site plans; field data handling.

Responsibilities

• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce topographic, boundary, ALTA surveys and related maps.
• Review field survey results and verify data accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with team and follow procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform duties of similar nature as assigned.
• Prepare sketches, legal descriptions, easements and route surveys.
