Job summary

The State of Ohio is hiring a Surveyor 1 for District 06 to collect and process survey data in the field, support plan and description preparation, and assist external customers with right-of-way survey needs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver's license, and progress toward required surveying coursework per NCEES standards.

The position is full-time and located at District 6 HQ in Delaware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; valid driver’s license; working towards obtaining the required semester hours of surveying courses that meets the NCEES Surveying Education Standard as approved by the Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.
• -Or accepted for Fundamental of Surveying examination (F.S) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collect & process survey data in field
• Assist in the preparation of plans and descriptions
• Assist external customers by fulfilling requests for existing right of way plans and survey monumentation
