Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a motivated apprentice to support project surveying, layout, and control. You will establish horizontal and vertical control, verify measurements, and coordinate with structural drawings on active construction sites.

The role involves instrument care, leveling, data collection, and basic AutoCAD usage while upholding Clark’s safety policies and standards. A strong math foundation and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand Structural/Architectural/Shop Drawings.
• Be able to lay out footings, columns, and building lines from drawings without assistance.
• Proficient in basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Establish horizontal and vertical control for projects and verify accuracy of consultant-provided control.
• Maintain instrument calibration, temperature/pressure corrections, and perform simple leveling operations.
• Read drawings and coordinate across documents to avoid conflicts; layout from finish floor elevations.
• Compute concrete quantities for daily pours, slabs, columns, and earthwork; perform fine grading operations.
• Operate and care for surveying equipment on active construction sites and ensure safety protocols.
