Job summary

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc. invites a Surveyor to join our award-winning engineering team.

You will plan and coordinate survey projects and conduct boundary, topographic, and construction surveys to support design and construction workflows. Qualified candidates hold PA professional licensure, can perform and certify various surveys, and are skilled with Civil 3D, MicroStation, Total Station, GPS/RTK.

Qualifications

• Licensed as Professional Land Surveyor in PA.
• Experience in boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
• Familiarity with PennDOT survey standards preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Job description

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., an award winning, multi-disciplinary engineering firm has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our company as a Surveyor.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and coordination of survey projects
• Conducting field surveys (boundary, topographic, and construction surveys)
• Prepare legal descriptions
• Adherence to project schedules and budgets
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Key qualifications to this position are:

• Must be a Professional Land Surveyor in PA
• Capable of performing, reviewing and certifying Boundary, Topographic, Construction and As-Built surveys
• Familiarity with conducting surveys using PennDOT standards is highly desirable
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation is also desirable
• Proficient using Total Station, Robotics, GPS, RTK, and other survey equipment
• Experience performing hydrographic surveys is desirable
