Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Surveying Project Manager in Illinois. The role focuses on managing large or multiple small surveying projects, developing scopes and fees, and overseeing schedules, budgets, and client relationships.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff on CAD/Trimble usage, producing drawings, contributing to contracts and marketing, and leading project meetings. Applicants should have a PLS license, a related degree, and strong communication and technology skills.

Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor's License required (PLS, RLS, LS).
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Land Surveying or approved certificate.
• Experience with Trimble equipment and CAD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff on CAD usage and preparation of plats, ALTAs, as-builts, exhibits, and legal descriptions.
• Produce drawings using CAD and Trimble platforms daily.
• Assist in contract/scope/fee development as well as schedules and marketing strategies.
• Assign, assess, and review work of team members relative to metrics.
• Delegate and supervise surveying work across projects.
• Represent the project in client meetings and engagements.
• Review invoices with accounting and bill clients.
• Participate in business development and client management.
• Follow surveying policies and industry best practices.
