Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Colorado Springs seeks a Land Surveying Manager to lead day-to-day operations, proposals, staffing, and project execution for the surveying section.

You will manage large, complex projects with cost estimation, budgets, schedules, and QA/QC, with significant client contact and financial responsibility.

This role offers a hybrid work program within a nationally recognized architecture, engineering and surveying firm and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed surveyor with PLS/RLS/LS status.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in land surveying.
• Proven ability to develop business and maintain client relationships.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation ORD.
• Familiar with Trimble field equipment and Trimble Business Center.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel; valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review RFQ/SOQ and cost proposals; allocate resources.
• Assign work, use CAD to deliver client results.
• Ensure quality and compliance with policies and standards.
• Manage hiring, performance reviews, and staff development.
• Monitor budgets and develop yearly budgets.
• Meet with clients; visit project sites as needed.
• Serve as licensed surveyor in charge of projects.
• Lead business development and networking with clients.
• Deliver complete and accurate surveys.
