Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Land Surveying Manager to lead day-to-day operations, proposals, staffing, and project execution for a busy survey team.

You will oversee large, complex projects with budget responsibility and client interaction to deliver precise surveys. The role requires a Professional Land Surveyor license, a surveying degree or certificate, and strong business development and CAD skills in AutoCAD C3D, MicroStation ORD, and Trimble platforms.

Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor's License required (PLS, RLS, LS).
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree / Land Surveying certificate preferred.
• Ability to develop business and maintain client relationships.
• Experience with AutoCAD C3D, MicroStation ORD; knowledge of Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review RFQ/SOQ and cost proposals; allocate resources and plan feasibility.
• Assign work and use CAD platforms to meet client deliverables.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of projects per policy and client requirements.
• Manage hiring, performance reviews, salaries, staff training, and development.
• Develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and reconcile funds.
