Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Survey Manager to lead survey operations, manage multiple projects, and mentor staff across offices. You will ensure quality, timelines and budgets while maintaining client relationships and pursuing business development.

Ideal candidates have a PLS license, 8+ years of surveying experience, and strong CAD/BIM skills. This role requires travel between BKF offices and on-site locations, with a minimum of three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years surveying experience with increasing responsibility.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices and standards.
• Experience managing survey projects, budgets, schedules and client relationships.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience with construction staking, boundary analysis and mapping.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Lead and initiate special projects as needed.
• May require flexible hours.
• Travel between BKF offices and other off-site locations may be required.
• Minimum of 3 days in office required.

Responsibilities

• Manage survey projects from proposal through final deliverables.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor survey staff with technical guidance.
• Review and approve survey deliverables including boundary, ALTA and topographic surveys.
• Coordinate field and office survey activities to meet objectives and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
• Prepare project scopes, fee estimates and proposals.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and new projects.
• Ensure compliance with surveying standards and company procedures.
