Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Survey Technician to join the Henderson, NV Surveying and Geodesy Group. The role involves extracting, compiling and interpreting technical data, drafting base maps and construction drawings, and preparing reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with experience, or an Associates Degree in a related technical field.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; good drafting ability; familiarity with technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Extracts, compiles, and interprets data from contract documents, field notes, surveys and reports.
• Writes preliminary reports, performs quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and man-hour estimates.
• Conducts field reviews to assess environmental conditions and data reduction; prepares findings.
• Performs moderately complex mathematical calculations.
• Drafts base maps, site plans and construction drawings from field notes and sketches.
• Prepares graphic displays and presentation materials.
• Coordinates with CAD technicians, reprographics and other technical staff.
