AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. seeks a Geomaticist/Survey Technician to join our Houston or Austin team, applying field and office geomatics to surveys, data processing and analysis.

You’ll work under a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, performing boundary analysis, survey calculations and map preparation with CAD/GIS tools and deliverables robust for legal descriptions and plats. Strong communication, analytic thinking and readiness to coordinate technicians support staff are essential in this

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and LSIT or equivalent registration required.
• Two years post-bachelor professional experience as Geomaticist or Survey Technician.
• Proficient with survey calculations, CAD, and GIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary analysis and survey calculations under supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
• Review field notes, process field data, extract features from point clouds and prepare survey mapping deliverables.
• Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits and plats.
• Assist with preliminary reports and cost/manhour estimates for projects.
• Coordinate and direct technicians or support staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.
