Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Surveyor in Henderson and Reno, Nevada to coordinate field surveying activities and office workflows. You will review legal records to identify boundaries and supervise survey drawings, plats, maps, and ALTA surveys.

You will produce topographic drawings, traverse and level network adjustments, and write legal descriptions using CAD and survey software. Occasional field travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with related experience required.
• Alternate: Associate degree with many years of related experience.
• High school diploma with many years of related experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Job Description Overview

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our Henderson and Reno, Nevada Surveying and Geodesy Group. Your role Coordination of field surveying activities between the field to the office. Researches or directs the research of legal records to identify previous boundaries. Prepares or supervises the preparation of survey drawings, plats, maps and reports, including ALTA surveys. Produces and/or corrects topographic survey drawings, traverse and level network adjustments. Writes legal descriptions. Utilizes CAD software to produce or adjust survey drawings, plats and parcel maps. Recommends solutions to resolve deed conflicts, field problems and geometric errors and discrepancies. Coordinates field work with survey crew and others, as required. May occasionally travel to field sites and perform field work, as required by project. Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

Bachelor's degree plus two years related experience OR an associate's degree in a related technical field plus ten years related experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus twelve years related experience is required. Good technical writing, computer and communication skills. Strong math and trigonometry computation skills. Technical writing, communication skills, and analytical ability. Good knowledge of CAD and survey software. Basic knowledge of GPS. Must be familiar with industry standard database software. RLS/PLS Required.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $80,000-$130,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
