Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Henderson, NV is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Geodesy group. You will extract, compile, and interpret technical data from contracts, field notes, and regulations, and assist in preparing preliminary reports and cost estimates.

The role involves field reviews, basic environmental assessments, data reduction, drafting base maps and site plans, and coordinating with CAD technicians. A high school diploma with experience or an associate degree with relevant experience is

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
Associates degree or higher preferred with related work history.
Ability to interpret contract documents, notes, and codes.

Responsibilities

Extracts, compiles, and interprets data from contract documents and field notes.
Writes preliminary reports and performs quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and man-hour estimates for projects.
Conducts field reviews to assess environmental conditions and environment-related data; performs data reduction and interpretation.
Performs moderately complex mathematical calculations.
Drafts base maps, site plans, construction drawings from field notes and sketches.
Prepares graphic displays and presentation materials.
Coordinates with CAD technicians, reprographics, and other technical personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
