Job summary

LJA Surveying is seeking a Survey Technician to prepare metes and bounds descriptions and related mapping products for boundary surveying projects. You will contribute across office, field, and behind-the-scenes roles, gaining hands-on experience with a broad range of clients and services.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of survey experience.
• CADD experience required; DOT experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build solid internal and external client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps.
• Compile information to stake projects for construction from engineering plans.
• Compare survey computations with standards to verify data adequacy.
• Collect information for new surveys from maps, existing data, photos and records.
• Prepare topographic and contour maps showing site features and survey notes.
