WSP is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Survey Geomatics team in Lawrenceville, NJ. This full-time role focuses on office production under management guidance and may involve supporting field staff as needed.

You will produce survey plans, prepare setup files for field crews, process data, and review survey control before final approvals. Proficiency in drafting and data-processing tools, plus strong communication and attention to detail, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; higher education in land surveying preferred.
• 5+ years of surveying/geospatial experience; 3+ years with degree.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, Leica Infinity.
• Experience in boundary research, title review, and initial boundary determinations.
• Experience reviewing survey data and processing survey control.
• Ability to prepare legal descriptions and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce survey plans and other deliverables; prepare setup files for field crews; research and compile records; process and review data; make initial boundary determinations for review by management.
• Use drafting programs, survey data processing tools, project tracking software, and Microsoft Office daily.
• Work on diverse projects across commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, and energy sectors.
• Interact with clients by email, phone, or meetings and represent WSP professionally.
