Job summary

TERRADON Corporation seeks a CADD Survey Technician for its Poca, WV area office. You will be production oriented with 3–5 years of survey experience (topographic, boundary, as-built, stakeout) and proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for field data imports and surface creation.

This role is primarily office-based but may require field visits for QA/QC reviews. Strong communication, organization, and GIS/geospatial knowledge are important to meet project schedules and client specifications.

Qualifications

Job description

TERRADON is looking to add a CADD Survey Technician to its team, based in the Poca, WV area office.

TERRADON is a family owned and operated multi-disciplined engineering company and provides engineering and consulting services on projects in the construction and design industry.

The Survey Technician must be production oriented and should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, with good working knowledge pertaining to various types of surveys (i.e. topographic, boundary, as-built, construction stakeout, etc.) along with the office techniques necessary to achieve each type. This position is primarily office based but may require field visits for quality assurance/quality control reviews. Responsibilities include a combination of the following, but are not limited to:

Must be proficient with AutoCAD CIVIL 3D in importing field data, creating surfaces and final drawing completion. Experience with Bentley Open Roads is a plus. Consciousness in monitoring schedules to ensure assigned projects are completed on time and in accordance with client’s specifications.

Good base understanding of the surveying and mapping industry, for both design and construction work. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of databases, software packages, GIS and geospatial platforms, general understanding and knowledge of project management and scheduling of field and office resources to meet project schedules.
