Job summary

TERRADON Corporation is actively seeking a Survey Party Crew Chief to lead field survey operations across West Virginia and Virginia. You will deliver accurate work, lead by example, and uphold safety and client service standards on diverse projects.

Extensive surveying experience is preferred, with opportunities to advance within TERRADON. You will work with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors, coordinate with project managers, and travel to project sites while maintaining

Qualifications

• Extensive surveying experience required or demonstrated potential.
• Experience leading survey crews preferred.
• Ability to read plans and legal descriptions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field survey crews on various projects.
• Operate GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, data collectors, and other survey equipment.
• Ensure field data is accurate, complete, and documented.
• Coordinate daily field activities with project managers and office staff.
• Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Travel throughout West Virginia and Virginia as needed.

Position Overview:

TERRADON Corporation is seeking a motivated Survey Party Crew Chief to lead field survey operations throughout West Virginia and Virginia. We are looking for a professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work, leading by example, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and client service.

Extensive surveying experience is preferred; however, we will consider candidates with varying levels of experience who demonstrate strong technical ability, leadership potential, and a desire to grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field survey crews on a variety of projects including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction layout, utility, transportation, and infrastructure surveys.
• Operate GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, data collectors, and other modern survey equipment.
• Ensure field data is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Coordinate daily field activities with project managers and office staff.
• Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Travel throughout West Virginia and Virginia as project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive surveying experience preferred.
• Experience leading survey crews.
• Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and modern survey equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, construction drawings, and legal descriptions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
