Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Project Manager to oversee survey projects from proposal to completion across New Jersey. You will lead field and office teams, ensure quality, and build strong client partnerships to drive successful land development and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Professional Land Surveyor license, extensive experience in conventional and remote sensing surveys, and the ability to generate revenue through existing clients and new business

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of field survey operations and engineering construction.
• Strong technical background in conventional survey and remote sensing.
• Experience with property line/ROW survey.
• Professional Land Surveyor License required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation.
• Experience with Trimble and/or Leica equipment and software.
• Experience with 3D scanning is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in surveying related work.
• Ability to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client communications and internal/external stakeholders.
• Prepare project proposals and manage invoicing processes.
• Oversee field crews and office staff, including surveyors and CAD technicians.
• Drive new business development by leveraging existing clients and Colliers’ service lines (3D scanning, Lidar, GPS, conventional surveys).

Responsibilities

• Client Communication (internal and external).


• Project Proposal Preparation & Invoicing.


• Oversight of field and office teams, comprised of project surveyors, cad technicians, and field crews.


• New Business Development combining existing clients with Colliers Engineering & Design’s diverse Land Survey & Measurement Service lines which include: 3D High Definition Laser Scanning, Mobile Lidar Mapping, Rail Surveying, GPS and Conventional Surveys.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of field survey operations, along with a deep knowledge of the engineering and construction industry


• Possess a strong technical background in conventional survey and remote sensing technologies


• Strong property line/R.O.W. experience


• NYC public agency experience a plus


• Professional Land Surveyor License required.


• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation.


• Experience with Trimble and/or Leica equipment and software


• Experience in projects utilizing 3D scanning a plus


• 10+ years of experience in all areas of the job description.


• Must be able to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development.


• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.


• A valid drivers license is required.

Compensation: $95,000 to $153,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
