Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Atlanta, GA to lead complex surveying projects, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients and staff.

The role requires PLS licensure in GA or eligibility, GDOT experience, and advanced CAD/GIS proficiency. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in survey management and 8+ years in land surveying, with SIT and remote pilot qualifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia; GDOT experience required.
• 10+ years experience managing survey projects of varying sizes.
• 8+ years experience in land surveying.
• SIT license.
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson.
• LiDAR data knowledge (TopoDOT/Pix4D) a plus.
• GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Head in proposals, estimates, and recruiting processes.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients on projects.
• Create and manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Maintain compliance with survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Support pre-survey planning meetings with project managers and engineers.
• Oversee fieldwork and data processing using CAD and GIS tools.

Job description

Job Title: Survey Project Manager

• Work Location: Atlanta, GA ***

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

• Will assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
• SIT or LS required
• Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
• Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing).
• Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
• Should be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
• A demonstrated record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation
• Must have project management experience
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Will accept two year degree plus experience.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia, other states licenses are desirable
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
• 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying
• SIT license
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
• LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
• Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
• Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirableMust have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
