Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a senior Land Surveyor in Atlanta, GA. You will lead survey projects, coordinate with clients, and prepare proposals while ensuring compliance with GDOT standards and professional practice.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of survey management, a GA PLS, SIT license, and strong AutoCAD/Carlson skills. Relocation assistance or sign-on bonus may be available; the role requires on-site work and active driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Land Surveyor license in Georgia; other state licenses desirable.
• GDOT experience required.
• 10+ years managing survey projects.
• 8+ years in land surveying.
• SIT license.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson.
• LiDAR collection software: TopoDOT and Pix4D.
• GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) experience desirable.
• Knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Experience with GIS platforms, Robotic Total Stations, GPS post processing, drones, and scanners.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Will assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
• SIT or LS required
• Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
• Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing).
• Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
• Should be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
• A demonstrated record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation
• Must have project management experience

• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Will accept two year degree plus experience.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia, other states licenses are desirable
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
• 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying
• SIT license
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
• LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
• Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
• Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
