Job summary

SupportFinity™ is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join their team in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will manage survey projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and using advanced survey techniques.

Survey Project Manager

Salary and Benefits

Salary based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview. Relocation assistance or sign‑on bonus available.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
  • Participate in pre‑survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.
  • Provide project management experience across varying sizes and complexity of survey projects.
  • Use CAD, Least Squares Reduction, and other survey software.
  • Work with GIS platforms.
  • Operate Robotic Total Stations and GPS (including post‑processing).
  • Use scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies.
  • Register in Georgia or be able to become a registered Land Surveyor within a year.
  • Demonstrate success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other survey types.
  • Comply with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program (or an equivalent two‑year degree plus experience).
  • Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license in Georgia (licenses from other states are desirable).
  • Required experience with GDOT.
  • 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
  • 8+ years of experience in land surveying.
  • Valid SIT license.
  • 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson.
  • LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) is a plus.
  • Experience with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process is desirable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
