Job summary

Bohler’s Herndon, VA office is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Survey to support our land development team in Virginia. You will prepare and review field surveys, direct staff, and ensure data accuracy across boundary, ALTA, plats and record drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You’ll collaborate with Project Managers, field crews, and CAD technicians to keep projects on schedule, mentor junior staff, and help coordinate schedules and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field; 5+ years of land surveying experience; strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and data management practices; excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to balance priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines; SIT certification or equivalent credentials preferred; self-starter with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and monitor field surveys for multiple projects simultaneously
• Direct and coordinate field and office teams to execute survey deliverables efficiently
• Review survey plans, record plats, legal descriptions, and title reports for accuracy
• Conduct boundary analysis and computations of ALTA, topographic, utility, and roadway surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ensure quality control across all survey drawings and reports
• Assist in mentoring and training field crews, CAD technicians, and junior staff
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with internal teams and clients
• Support project scheduling and coordination across departments and external stakeholders
