Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Survey Technician to join our Warrenton, VA land surveying team. You will prepare ALTA/ACSM, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys with minimal supervision while mentoring junior staff and upholding Bohler’s precision standards.

You’ll evaluate field data for accuracy, generate surfaces for engineering design, and ensure data readiness for design work across the Herndon area. Civil 3D proficiency and 3+ years of CAD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CAD experience in land surveying.
• Strong understanding of deed compilation and data verification.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines and budget limits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ALTA/ACSM, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Evaluate and process field data for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate surfaces using 3D polylines and points for design integration.
• Perform deed plotting and base map compilation; verify data.
• Provide technical oversight to junior staff and mentor teammates.
• Deliver data between field and office teams seamlessly.
• Identify technical issues or data discrepancies and communicate with leadership.
• Contribute to quality assurance and adherence to Bohler’s standards.
