Survey Party Chief I

Job Locations: US-MD-Frederick

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.
• Must have the ability to manage a crew of surveyors in the field.
• Must have the ability to operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors and RTK GPS equipment.
• Must have excellent math skills and be able to perform survey calculations in the field.
• Must have ability to interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
• Must have ability to create legible field sketches.
• A valid current driver's license.
• Ability to follow instructions, training and mentoring crews with a positive can‑do attitude are necessities.
• Must possess leadership and mentoring skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.
