Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Survey Party Chief with 4‑8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as‑built surveys.
• Mentor, train and manage assigned staff in the field.
• Operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
• Perform survey calculations in the field and interpret design plans and as‑built drawings and roadway plans.
• Create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
• Maintain a valid current driver’s license.
• Follow instructions, demonstrate a positive can‑do attitude, possess leadership and mentoring skills.
• Lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends and travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
• High school Diploma or GED.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain required certifications.
• Pre‑employment drug screening; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.
