Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Survey Supervisor in the Survey and Mapping Office to lead a team in surveying, mapping, and CADD activities. You will supervise staff, coordinate production, and ensure quality in location survey outputs.

You will contribute to developing geospatial CADD applications, manage training, support contract negotiations, and participate in district-wide quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surveying terminology, principles, and applications.
• Skills in surveying, mapping, interpretation, and modeling of surfaces.
• Ability to supervise and lead teams, coordinate survey projects, and manage CADD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees by communicating, motivating, training, and evaluating them.
• Develops and maintains Survey processing, CADD, and Right of Way mapping applications.
• Assists with QA reviews, training development, and contract-related planning.
