Job summary

Southeastern Surveying & Mapping Corporation in Orlando, FL seeks a Project Surveyor to support FDOT design surveys, boundary and topographic work, and mapping. You will draft maps, review field data, and coordinate with project engineers, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring QA/QC before client reviews.

This full-time role requires a Florida PSM or trainee, a degree in geomatics or engineering, and at least five years of FDOT project experience.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PSM credentials required or completed within 1 year for hire.
• 2-year Geomatics/Surveying or 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years managing/surveying FDOT projects.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design surveys, R/W Map preparation, and legal descriptions per FDOT scope.
• Prepare FDOT reports supporting field surveys.
• Supervise survey technicians and review surveys/maps for completeness.
• Perform survey calculations and prepare maps, plats, and right-of-way maps.
• Coordinate project estimates and schedules; mentor assistants.
