Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Rodman to join our surveying team in Nashville, TN. You will support land surveying projects under the direction of the Party Chief and contribute to accurate fieldwork.

You will clear obstructions, carry and set up equipment, and help prepare supplies for daily tasks. This role requires outdoor work in all weather, physical effort to lift up to 35 lbs, and strong teamwork to ensure project success.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to grasp basic surveying concepts and techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with all levels of employees.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work with engineering staff and management.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains for extended periods.

Aufgaben

• Clear brush and obstacles to maintain line of sight.
• Carry and set up equipment (rods, tripods, prisms) for staking and measurement.
• Load/unload survey equipment and supplies for job assignments.
• Maintain survey supplies (nails, paint, rods, flags) for daily tasks.
• Gather supplies, dig for corners, and cut lines.
• Search for and identify monuments.
• Plumb prisms to ensure accuracy.
• Measure distances using chains, tape, or other methods.
• Clean and maintain survey equipment.
• Complete other field surveying tasks as assigned.
