Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of land surveying experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D 2024 and Carlson Survey.
• Interest in learning VDOT MicroStation, drone processing, and laser scanning.
• Willingness to work outdoors in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CADD drafting and prepare record and easement plats.
• Perform survey stakeout computations, cutsheet preparation, and post-processing of field-collected data.
• Support the creation of basemapping and drafting for topographic and boundary surveys.
• Draft as-built plans and prepare associated survey exhibits.
• Reduce and check field notes for quality assurance.
• Conduct deed and easement research to support property boundary determinations.
• Assist with computations of base files and layout information.
• Provide field support as needed on survey crews, with the potential for hands‑on use of GPS and total station equipment.
