Job summary

Halff is seeking a Survey Crew Member to join our Oklahoma City, OK office for an intermediate-level field role working outdoors with a Land Survey crew. The position includes overtime and travel assignments and offers strong opportunities for career development and potential ownership in the firm.

You will operate robotic, conventional, and GPS survey equipment, assist the Party Chief on various surveys, and collect data with a focus on accuracy. Expect a 40‑hour week with a start at 6:30am.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Survey Instrument Operator (boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able and willing to work Monday through Friday, with a 6:30am start time.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Pass a drug and background screening.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic, conventional, and GPS survey equipment to collect accurate topographic features and boundary evidence for land development, route, utility, and other surveying projects.
  • Assist the Party Chief on boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys.
  • Collect high-quality field data with a strong focus on accuracy, precision, and completeness.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from the Party Chief and project leadership.
  • Safely transport, set up, and maintain tripods, rods, prisms, and other survey equipment.
  • Load, unload, and properly store survey tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Clear lines, mark points, drive stakes, and perform stakeout activities as directed.
  • Perform field measurements, data logging, and survey tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Download, upload, and review survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
  • Maintain organized field equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Adhere to Halff's safety standards and field procedures at all times.
  • Perform physically demanding fieldwork, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Travel to project sites, including occasional extended travel assignments.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately to support project schedules and deadlines.

Halff is currently seeking a Survey Crew Member to join our Oklahoma City, OK office. This intermediate-level role involves working outdoors in support of a Land Survey crew. Prior survey experience is a plus, but not required. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday with a 6:30am start time. This position includes overtime and travel assignments. What You Will Do

  • Manual dexterity to operate instruments, hand tools, stakes, and field documentation.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
