Summary: Core Land Consulting is a small but growing professional land surveying company located in Southeast Michigan. We are looking to add a full time dedicated and ambitious person to assist in our growth objectives. Core Land Consulting performs all types of surveying projects with a focus on construction staking and ALTA surveys. Prior field experience in these areas is required. Previous experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Job Requirements:

• Strong work ethic, dependable and motivated.
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong organization/time management skills.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Will work primarily in the field on control, boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
• Collect survey data as required in accordance with industry and client specifications, scopes of work, and work plans.
• Perform mathematical calculations and field checking/staking.
• Must be able perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
• Supervise and assist other members of the survey crew.
• Daily coordination with office staff.
• Willing and able to continually learn new techniques and processes.
  
  

Position Qualifications:

• A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in surveying, preferably in boundary retracement and construction staking.
• Proficient with Trimble Access software for Trimble TSC7, S7 and R12 equipment is preferred.
• Ability to write legibly and convey technical information as well as the ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from co-workers and clients.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and written.
• Candidate must possess a valid drivers' license with insurable driving record.
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in the role of Crew Chief.
• Experience in construction staking.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work overtime.
• The ability to work outside; stand; walk; lift and carry equipment; operate equipment in all types of weather and terrain, is a requirement.
• Ability to work as a one-person crew utilizing robotic and GPS equipment
