Description
The Managed Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief maintains the Customer’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to the Company maintenance manual and FAR regulations. Responsibilities include conducting or assisting with all inspections and repairs on aircraft and aircraft sub-assemblies, and performing required documentation, billing, regulatory, and administrative tasks in compliance with Company, Customer, and FAA policies.
Essential Duties
- Performs scheduled maintenance on aircraft, as assigned.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks.
- Troubleshoots and repairs damaged, worn, or defective mechanical components.
- Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections on aircraft as time permits.
- Reports discrepancies to Maintenance Manager or Pilot in Command.
- Onsite for all aircraft departures and arrivals as permitted.
- Completes required paperwork, including return to service documentation.
- Observes current applicable FAA Regulations and GMM’s during maintenance.
- Follows Company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains general cleanliness of aircraft interior and exterior.
- Participates in preplanning briefings to understand project scope, man-hour availability, and projected completion date.
- Ensures work orders are opened and updated timely; accurately describes squawks.
- Ensures proper documentation of work performed is completed and accompanies the aircraft prior to departure.
- Travels to maintenance vendors to represent the Company and aircraft owners during scheduled maintenance events.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an A&P certificate with 10 years of corporate aviation experience, including at least 5 years of aircraft-specific experience (preferably G450). Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
