Job description

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Raleigh, NC!

Join our Survey / Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before. Under your direction, survey staff collect data from the air, ground, and subsurface to provide precision data interpretation.

Responsibilities

1. Lead survey crews of one to three members.
2. Manage survey projects including NCDOT design and ROW, topographic, aerial ground control, boundary, construction, and ALTA surveys.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma / GED required.
2. Minimum of 10 years of field survey experience, with at least 5 years as a Crew Chief or equivalent.
3. Proficient in Trimble equipment, data collectors, robotic instruments, total stations, and leveling.
4. Experience with or ability to learn 3D scanners.
5. Self-starter with minimal supervision needed.
6. Ability to work in inclement weather and willingness to travel.
7. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; MVR will be checked.
8. Excellent communication skills in English.

Requires pre-employment drug screening and participation in ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
