Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Land Survey Field Crew Chief to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will direct all duties of the survey field crew, execute field tasks, and maintain accurate field notes. A minimum of 5 years in Land Surveying and experience with topographical and property surveying are essential. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within Land Surveying.
• Experience with various surveying types including topographical and property.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Nitsch Engineering is seeking an experienced Land Survey Field Crew Chief to join our growing team in one of our three Massachusetts offices in Boston, Lawrence, or Worcester!

Responsibilities

• Direct all duties of the assigned survey field crew
• Execute field tasks as described in the scope of work
• Maintain clear and accurate field notes by recording all significant data
• Update the Project Coordinator and Project Manager on anything that may cause potential issues with the project schedule or budget

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within Land Surveying.
• Experience with topographical, ALTA, property, and construction surveying.
• Experience with Carlson SurvCE and Leica.
• Experience working with MassDOT, preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
