Job summary

KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead land surveying tasks including topo, boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys. You will manage field crews, ensure accuracy of notes and data, and coordinate with project teams.

Proficiency with Trimble total-stations, GPS, data-collectors, and office software such as Civil 3D/Carlson is preferred. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with land surveying field methods preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with a crew.

Responsibilities

• Understand survey scope and execute a plan to complete the survey on time.
• Keep accurate field notes and sketches.
• Kickoff meeting to review project scope with survey team.
• Solve problems in field and provide solutions.
• Mentor and train crew field personnel.
• Perform surveys including topo, boundary, ALTA/NSPS.
