Job summary

Roc Search partners with a Northwest Houston civil engineering and surveying firm to hire a Survey Coordinator. This role is office-based and coordinates survey projects from initial research and field direction through final production and delivery, supporting residential and commercial land development, municipal infrastructure, and Public Works in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Experience in land surveying, survey drafting, project coordination, or civil CAD production.
• Five or more years of relevant experience preferred, with flexibility for strong candidates.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, or similar software.
• Knowledge of boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, easements, plats, title research, or legal descriptions.
• Ability to interpret field data, drawings, title commitments, deeds, and recorded documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Land development or Public Works experience is helpful.
• SIT, LSIT, or CST certification is preferred but not required
• RPLS licensure is not required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects between clients, project managers, office technicians, and field crews
• Review and process field data, calculations, and survey information
• Prepare and review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, platting, easement, and land-development survey deliverables
• Research title commitments, deeds, plats, easements, and property records
• Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits, sketches, maps, and survey reports
• Provide field crews with project information, calculations, and daily direction
• Review survey drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Help keep multiple projects organized, on schedule, and moving toward final delivery

We are partnering with an established civil engineering and surveying firm in Northwest Houston that is looking to add a Survey Coordinator to its team.

This is a primarily office-based position responsible for helping coordinate survey projects from initial research and field direction through final production and delivery. The team supports residential and commercial land development, municipal infrastructure, and Public Works projects throughout the Houston area.

This opportunity may also align with experienced Senior Survey Technicians, Survey CAD Technicians, LSITs, Survey Project Coordinators, or Party Chiefs interested in moving further into office-based project coordination.

Responsibilities:

This is a direct-hire, fully on-site position paying $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience. The company also offers half-day Fridays.
