Job summary

SAM, a nationwide geospatial and construction-phase solutions leader, is seeking a Survey Technician in Baton Rouge. You will support office and field staff by processing data, delivering final surveying deliverables, and reporting to the Project Manager.

Training is provided on the latest A/E/C technology and industry practices. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by adhering to SAM standards, monitoring field production, and performing QC.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn; little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process data and deliver final land surveying deliverables.
• Support field staff by processing incoming information.
• Report to Project Manager and perform technical tasks using the latest A/E/C technology.
• Monitor field crew production and quality assurance.
• Initial QC of field deliverables according to standards.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, You Will Support Office And Field Staff By Processing Incoming Information And Producing Final Land Surveying Project Deliverables. You Will Report To The Project Manager And Perform Technical Tasks Utilizing The Latest Technology In The A/E/C Industry. You Will Help Increase Land Survey Project Efficiency And Client Satisfaction By

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided
