Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying and CAD design, along with proficiency in survey software and tools.

Responsibilities include processing field data with MicroStation and AutoCAD, creating 3D terrain models with InRoads/OpenRoads, and ensuring GDOT CAD standards while collaborating with designers and project managers to deliver accurate results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD and survey software experience
• 5+ years of land surveying experience
• 1 year field and office surveying with AutoCAD
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes
• Experience with survey software and equipment
• At least 1 year using MicroStation (preferred)
• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Process daily field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create survey drawings
• Develop 3D digital terrain models from field data using InRoads/OpenRoads
• Draft and design for land surveying projects meeting CAD standards and GDOT requirements
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure accurate results
• Maintain communication with field crews to gather necessary data
• Prepare plans, as-builts, and final plats with detailed information
• Revise plats/drawings based on supervisor feedback
• Assist in preliminary layouts, specifications, and documentation
• Conduct basic field survey tasks (closings, foundations, elevation certificates)
• Occasionally assist in field to verify drawings against conditions
• Check calculations and ensure deliverables meet project standards
• Support office staff and cross-department teams
• Develop technical skills and mentor teammates
