Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Survey CAD Technician to join our team in the U.S. GA area. You will process field data, create CAD drawings, and develop 3D terrain models using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and InRoads/OpenRoads.

Responsibilities include drafting for land surveying projects, complying with GDOT standards, and collaborating with project managers to deliver precise results. Field verification and field-office coordination are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD and survey software experience.
• 5+ years of land surveying experience.
• 1 year field and office surveying with hands-on AutoCAD.
• GDOT standards and processes experience.
• Experience with survey software and equipment.
• At least 1 year using MicroStation (preferred).
• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create survey drawings.
• Develop 3D digital terrain models from field data using InRoads/OpenRoads or similar software.
• Draft and design for land surveying projects adhering to CAD standards including GDOT requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver accurate results.
• Ensure field crews collect data by maintaining communication and coordination.
• Prepare plans, as-builts, and final plats with detailed information.
• Revise drawings based on supervisor feedback and red-lines.
• Assist in preliminary layouts, specifications, and documentation for survey projects.
• Conduct basic surveys such as closings, foundations, and elevation certificates.
• Occasionally assist in the field to verify drawings against conditions.
• Maintain accuracy by checking calculations, plats, and worksheets.
