Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Surveying, CAD, or Geomatics.
• Internship or coursework in surveying or CAD is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble software.
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn industry-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and maintaining survey files, drawings, and data for construction and survey projects.
• Support survey crews and office staff with roadway, utility, topographic, boundary, and as-built survey projects.
• Help review project files for accuracy and completeness prior to field use.
• Assist with basic survey calculations, data processing, and record management.
• Support the setup and maintenance of GPS and survey equipment under the guidance of senior team members.
• Learn and utilize survey software such as Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Process and organize survey data collected from field crews.
• Assist with managing and maintaining project documentation and survey records.
• Help ensure survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and promote a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with field and office personnel to support project needs.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

• Internship, co‑op, or coursework related to surveying, CAD, engineering, or construction is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble software, or similar applications preferred.
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn industry‑specific software and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
