Job summary

Cardinal Civil Resources in Virginia is seeking a detail-oriented CADD Tech to support survey projects and ensure accurate CAD outputs. You will contribute to data reduction, field note processing, and daily CAD production using IntelliCAD and Carlson Civil Suite.

Responsibilities include drafting grading plans and ALTA/NSPS surveys, with GIS support as a secondary tool. Candidates should have a strong math background, 5+ years in a civil engineering setting, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school education with math, geometry and trig.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Civil engineering environment experience.
• Knowledge of Carlson Civil Suite with IntelliCAD.
• Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Background check and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Perform data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey software and IntelliCAD.
• Daily CADD production for Boundary, Topographic, House Location Surveys; draft Grading Plans, Easement Plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Carlson Civil Suite with IntelliCAD (Primary); GIS (Secondary).
• Attention to detail and self-motivation; ability to think critically.
• Perform mathematical calculations and checking of field data; read and understand plans.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors; basic geometry and grading.

CADD Tech

Cardinal Civil Resources is currently looking for an employee with high integrity and an excellent attention to detail in order to fill a position as a CADD Tech.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ideal candidate would serve as a Survey CADD Operator & possess a superior skill set that includes:

• Perform some office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs and IntelliCAD
• Daily CADD production to complete Boundary, Topographic, House Location Surveys. In addition, drafting of Grading Plans, Easement Plats, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys etc.
• Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD (Primary)
• GIS (Secondary)
• Attention to detail and self-motivated with the ability to think critically
• Performs mathematical calculations and checking of field data
• Reads and understands plans and specifications
• Know basic sources of measurement errors
• Basic understanding of geometry and grading
• Performs other duties as assigned
