Job summary

Cardinal Civil Resources is seeking a skilled CADD Technician to support boundary, topographic, and house location surveys. You will perform data reduction, staking calculations, and drafting activities using Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD.

GIS tasks may be involved, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with a math background and 5+ years in a Civil Engineering environment, plus proficiency in Carlson Civil Suites and IntelliCAD.

Qualifications

• What candidates must have: high school education with math/geometry/trigonometry; 5+ years in civil engineering.
• Experience with Carlson Civil Suites and IntelliCAD is required.
• Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey software.
• Daily CADD production for Boundary, Topographic, and House Location Surveys; draft Grading Plans, Easement Plats, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Operate Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD as primary tool; GIS as secondary.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, self-motivation, and critical thinking.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications; understand sources of measurement errors.
• Understand basic geometry and grading; perform other duties as assigned.

CADD Tech

Cardinal Civil Resources is currently looking for an employee with high integrity and an excellent attention to detail in order to fill a position as a CADD Tech.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform some office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs and IntelliCAD
• Daily CADD production to complete Boundary, Topographic, House Location Surveys. In addition, drafting of Grading Plans, Easement Plats, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys etc.
• Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD (Primary)
• GIS (Secondary)
• Attention to detail and self-motivated with the ability to think critically
• Performs mathematical calculations and checking of field data
• Reads and understands plans and specifications
• Know basic sources of measurement errors
• Basic understanding of geometry and grading
• Performs other duties as assigned
  

Education and/or Experience

• A high school education or equivalent is required including a background in math, geometry, and trigonometry
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Previous experience working in Civil Engineering environment
• Knowledge of Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD is required
• Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills
• Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements
• Valid driver's license with insurable record
• Background Check and Drug Testing Required
